09/25/2010 - Flag Football
Middlebury P&R and the Middlebury Police Dept. are looking for kids interested in participating in PAL Flag Football. The program will run from mid-September through the end of October with play-off games in November and will be offered in 3 age groups, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13 & 14 years old. Games will most likley be at Mary I Johnson field. There will be a nominal fee determined by the number of participants. If you are interested, please contact the P&R office @ 203.758.2520

Handler must be at least 16 yrs old. Dogs must be 6 months or older. First class is lecture only - Do Not Bring Dogs. Please provide proof of current rabies and bordetella vaccinations at first meeting. Bring collar, leash, treats & baggies to pick-up after your dog to all subsequent classes. Instruction will cover basic commands; sit, down, heel, come as well as basic behavior issues; jumping, barking, etc.

For new and/or experienced quilters; Southford Falls Quilters meet in the Shepardson Community Center auditorium at 7:00 p.m. on the first Friday of each month from Sept. through June. This September’s meeting will be held on Sept. 10th due to the Labor Day holiday. This is a non-profit organization made up of people interested in sharing the art of quilting and doing charitable works using their skills. For more information please call Karen @ 598-7091.
