MIDDLEBURY GREENWAY The Middlebury Greenway extends from Rt. 63 at Woodside Ave. to Rt. 64 in front of the Little League Field. Please be aware that there is no winter maintenance, use at your own RISK.
SLIDING When it snows, sliding is available at the Town Hall hill. No supervision is provided and sliding takes place at your own risk. Adults must accompany all children under age 12.
ICE SKATING Ice skating is permitted at the pond at Meadowview Park located behind the Police Dept. on Rt. 188 when weather and ice thickness permits. Parents should contact the Recreation Department at 758-2520 for daily updates on ices conditions.
Here are some safety guidelines:
- Skate at you own risk
- Ice thickness is not consistent. Water currents, particularly around narrow spots, bridges, inlets and outlets, are always suspect for thin ice. NEVER skate alone. Always have at least two people present.
- Beware of ice around partially submerged objects, such as trees, logs, brush, embankments or dam structures. No supervision is provided on the ponds.
