I moved to Middlebury about 2 1/2 months ago. My Husbands job brought us here. I think it's great. The people are so nice and we live in a beautiful area. I'd love to find a nice office job here. Any suggestions???

Just moved to Middlebury from Watertown-what a difference. The greenway is great with all the adjoining parks. People have welcomed my family with open arms. Looking foward to retirement someday in this quiet community.

Lived in Middlebury as a youth. Left with family for Texas. Am searching for Noreen O'Rourke, Elly MacHale and Kathy Greene who I knew as young girls in late 50's.

Can anyone help?

Wow- what a trip down memory lane!
I lived in Middlebury, CT from 1960 through 1977- then I left for college and the rest is history as they say. I have a lot of fond memories of growing up in Middlebury- the Memorial School, MRA, Lake Quassy, the Volunter Firefighters, Little league, Little Pal, etc.
The town I live in now reminds me alot of that time (though Newburyport is about twice the size of Middlebury and has a much more developed downtown). I remember Middlebury had just Mayo's, and Johnnies and a few banks ans gas stations and a pharmacy. We used to walk to A&Js for 'grinders' that the old man made us at the back of the store.

I grew up in Middlebury (born 1957) at the corner of Wheeler Rd. and Rt. 188. (Turtle Pond); Went to nursery school in the back of the Congregational Church, K-3 at (old) Shepardson School, 4-8 at Memorial School and graduated from (old) Southbury High School in 1975. My father was Wallace Clark who owned the former Hearthstone Insurance Agency at Four Corners. I just stumbled across the Middlebury Web site; congratulations to the builders, a terrific job. I have not been back to visit for about 10 years, as all relatives are either moved away or passed on. When my son was little, we would come down and take him to Lake Quassapaug; what a blast from the past! In regards to Rusty Bona's post of 12/7/06; I also commend Mr. Rafford for his work in the Historical Society. I had the pleasure of speaking with him a few years ago about Town history; and he had just conducted the funeral service for my co-worker at Gardiner, Maine. What a small world. Must sign off, Doug

I grew up in Middlebury and loved every minute of it. Great memories and friends. I went to Mary I, Memorial and then Southbury High. It was neat seeing so many familiar names..Stowe, Stipe (my first grade class mate), Richardson. You probably still see my brother around town. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I left a message earlier with an incorrect email address! I am trying to locate Gina and George Ray and I think they might live in Middlebury. Our kids were friends in England when they were 2yrs old. We lost touch only 3 years ago through everyone moving home. If you know Gina and George or their son Oliver or daughter Virginia, please would you let them know my email address. My daughters are Isobel and Sophie incase G & G don't know my new surname by the way.

I'm trying to track down some very good friends of mine after losing contact a few years ago. They are Gina and George Ray and I think they might live in Middlebury now. Our children used to play together in Richmond Park, London when they were 2 years old - Oliver and Isobel. That was 18 years ago! I would really love to get in touch again and ask if anyone knows Gina and George, please could they let me know. Thank you very much.

I grew up in Middlebury, until I married and moved to Wolcott. I graduated from Shepardson School in 1946 and Wilby High in 1950. I lived on Rose Ct. My brother, Howard also lived there until he married in 1944. Many memories of Middlebury. Some of my Mother's photo albums were given to the Middlebury Library. Hello to my home town. Updating my email address. My heart will always be in Middlebury.
My brother Doug and I and my parents Sally and Doug lived, it seems forever, on Washington Drive. I went to kindergarten on Library Road, when we used to get picked up in a station wagon (no school bus!)
Would love to hear from old friends!

This is the first time I've viewed this page. It is very nicely done and is an asset to the town. Under separate cover I request permission to use some of the items in material pertaining to Middlebury's Bicentennial Celebration.

I wanted to find out about your town because my daughter and son-in-law are going to be moving there soon. I have never been to Connecticut, and am anxious to see it firsthand.
