Nice to see such an inviting, informative website of your nice little town. Having grown up in nearby Waterbury, I always hold fond memories of Middlebury.

Hey im 14 and ive lived hear in Middlebury for almost my whole life and I must say I do love the town and the people in the town very much, but what i think we need is some things to do in this town for the kids. we have quassy but thats been taken over by the city of Waterbury. and almost the entire population of this towns kids skateboard including myslef. And i speak for all the kids who skate in this town can we pleas get a skatepark, not only will it be an atraction for all of us but it will keep us out of trouble. this past summer me and my pals have been getting alot of trouble with the police mainly for skating in spots that we are not sopose to skate in, and being kids. so when you get a chance to read this i would highly apreciate it if you send me an email on the skate park matter I adressed to you today. thank you

I left middlebury in 1967 @ the ripe old age of 8. I still remember it clearly though. My best friend was Mark Hadzega. I wonder if he would still remember me after almost 40 years. If anyone knows him say "HEY" to him for me. I view middlebury on my pc through globeXplorer & it looks like it hasn't changed much. My greetings to all who still reside there.

I grew up in Middlebury. at the time there was a population of 5000, Grant Goodeve was are celebrity. and the big discussion was were to put the High School. I really miss the place. It seems strange to see all the changes. I am returning in November of '05 for my 30th class reunion. I look foward to recalling all the memories. I have 3 children now. I have been all over the world with the USAFR. I now live 1 mile for the Indy 500. I hope to see you again real soon.

I'm looking for information on the "Little People's Village", the old abandoned house surrounded by miniature houses in the woods across from Maggie McFly's. From what I hear, this little local landmark is falling into ruin, mostly due to vandals. I wonder if anything can be done to help protect and preserve what's left. Also, I'd love to know if anyone has information regarding its origins, apart of course from the commonly told myths regarding tiny demons, etc. Thank you!

My husband and I would like to move back to Middlebury to be near the family (where I grew up) next year after we retire from the Army. Does anyone know where there is a good deal on some acreage of land for sale?

I lived in Middlebury for 15 years when I was a wee one. My grandparents live on Benson Rd where Uniroyal is now. We had a farm there. My papa built a home for us on Southford Rd where the IBM sign is now. I miss Middlebury very much expecially now with the change of seasons and the fairs. I see that there is a new elementry school in the corn field now. So much progress. I remember walking to Quassy too.

I grew up in Middlebury, CT and still enjoy the beauty and warmth of the town when I return. My parents owned the first hardware store and liquor store in town. My aunt and uncle owned the only grocery store in Middlebury also. Everywhere we went, we all knew each other. Town Hall dances, Lake Quassapaug, summer dances at the lake - what a beautiful way to grow up! We lived on Mirey Dam Road with only 5 or 6 homes on the road - it was a dead end. Now, that area has grown so. My heart and roots were in Middlebury, CT - thank you.

I went to Mary I Johnson and Memorial Schools in Middlebury and lived on Richardson Drive. My parents lived in Middlebury for over 87 years. It was a nice friendly town to grow up in. In my 20's I moved to another nice town in Woodbury. I wish Woodbury would take notice of your Web Site so we could enjoy our town history, hours of Library and meetings like the Middlebury residents are doing. Great site.
