I'm new to the area although my wife, Michelle, was born and raised here. It's great that there is a place to find all this info. Keep up the good work!

Greetings nutmeggers,I grew up in Middlebury - and had a lot of fun. Graduated Pomperaug in 1977. Mom and brothers Bob and Bruce are still there and you probably see them around town. At the "dump" on Saturdays, no doubt. Glad to see this page and I will be checking it plenty. Take a swim in Lake Quassapaug for me! Have a great summer.Pete, e-mailing from the Rockies

Hi...I grew up in Middlebury (1940-1958) and live at 114 Yale Avenue. I attended Mary I. Johnson School, Memorial School, and Crosby High. Joined the Air Force in 1958 and never looked back. Have returned to CT on several occasions for short over the years but have not kept contact with anyone from my childhood. Would love to get caught up with some of the last 42 years of comings and goings of people I went to school with at Mary I. Johnson and Memorial or anyone who might remember me.Jerry Adkins506 Leawood DriveGreensboro , NC 27410

I am pleased to see the planned development for sewer, water and resurfacing work scheduled for Middlebury. We all need to support this long overdue work. My utmost respect to the Town Leadership for their visionary work in coordinating all these projects in one comprehensive plan!PS....This website gets better and better, good work!!!!

My name is Jim Cipriano and I spent a good part of my life living in Middlebury. I loved the town growing up and later built a house and raised my two daughters there. I still have a strong connection with both family and friends that live there. Middlebury was and still is a great community in which to live and raise a family. The region 15 school district is a great place to educate children and prepare them for the advanced educational challenges they will go on to face. Both my children went on to college and were accepted at the first college on their list. Ed St. John has been a driving force for Middlebury over the years and residents owe him a debt of gratitute.

WOULD LIKE TO SAY HELLO TO THOSE IN MIDDLEBURY THAT MAY REMEMBER ME. I BUILT A HOUSE OM MIDDLEBURY ROAD, OPPOSITE FENN'S POND, IN 1949 AND MY FIVE CHILDREN GREW UP IN THE TOWN. MY DAUGHTER ALISON IS STILL LIVING IN THE TOWN WITH HER TWO BOYS, JOHN JR. AND CHRIS. I HAVE ENJOYED READING THE LETTERS FROM THOSE THAT TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE.

My kids grew up in Middlebury and we all feel the education, our local government and the businesses are the best you can find anywhere. Our first selectmen has done a great job in preserving the town's heritage. Even though Naples, Florida is where I spend most of my time, I will always feel Middlebury is a home away from home.

My name is Matthew Samuolis and I teach Math and Science in Florida. I was a ward of the state of Ct. I am trying to make a connection with my past. I will accept the good with the bad!!! From what I have found my parents owned a store in Middlebury. My mothers maiden name was Catherine Roke and my fathers name is Boleslaus Samuolis (might have went by Anthony or Tony). I know they were drinkers and lost the store! I guess this is all I know! Thanks for anyones help and please remember I will take the good and the bad! Thanks Matthew

I spent my childhood in Middlebury on Tranquility Road. I left in 1978. This is a nice Web page about Middlebury. My mother still attends St. George's church. I was sad to learn that the pasture on Tranquility Road has been turned into a housing development. Hope to visit this nice town one day soon.

Dec. 7th. What a shamefull headline to wake up to and be a citizen in the town that helped bring it about! 1582 nay votes to 601 yea votes. Shame on us Middlebury. The consequences of this act will be long lasting for all the children in both Middlebury and Southbury. They deserve so much more from us than this.

Have enjoyed the site so much! Your photo album brings back memories of many familiar places and people.I was raised in Middlebury - graduated from Shepardson School in 1946 - was a student there when it was Center School - I remember the day the name was changed! Lived on Whittemore Road. I was married at the Congregational Church by Rev. Charles Ives. Thank you for stirring up memories of a happy childhood in your beautiful town!
